SUSAN PONCHOCK
Bosom Buddies Charities Founder

March 29, 1944 — March 19, 2021

To those of us in the Bosom Buddies family, Susan Ponchock was many things.

She was an inspiration and THRIVER – After surviving an aggressive breast cancer diagnosis over 26 years ago, Susan chose to live each day with purpose and meaning. She founded Bosom Buddies Charities in 2006 to provide diagnostic services and breast cancer awareness to women on the Eastern Shore. In the last 15 years, the organization has raised over $2 million in support of her mission. Susan was enormously proud of what Bosom Buddies Charities had become and all the people that helped her make it a success.

She was a mother, grandmother, wife, and friend – She left behind a wide circle of family and friends who will miss her beyond words.

She was a party! – No one who met Susan ever forgot her.  She always had a joke to tell and a story to share.  She had the unique gift of being able to say what was on her mind without being offensive, causing her loving and dedicated husband John to constantly roll his eyes. She always had the best golf outfits and the cutest shoes. She was a beautiful person, both inside and out.

We are all grateful for having had the opportunity to know Susan, and her memory will continue to inspire all of us to live our lives as she did – with love, laughter and joy for life.

Susan will ALWAYS be our Bosom Buddies Angel.
